Awesome incorporates two pictures that are printed over and over, alternating between red and blue. Each red photograph has the same photograph on its reverse side. The paper is so thin that it becomes almost translucent. The viewer’s perception of the colours changes depending on the light conditions. These two photographs were taken in Chicago and refer to the city’s repeating street grid pattern. The similar pictures refers to the idea that even something looks the same it doesn’t mean it is the same.
